I'm on the lookout for a HDD to fit into the Ultrabay on the T61p and i've got a few questions for our experts. First of all, which Ultrabay-format is it on the T61p? where ever you look you seem to get different answers, tough i guess its Ultrabay Slim...

Also, what kind of HDD will fit, any 2,5" seems a bit optimistic given the size of the bay? And what are the limitations on the motherboards controller, can i get it to accept a 500 GB HDD, and is the correct format S-ATA.

    Thanks in advance everyone!

The T61 uses the ultrabay slim. Any SATA drive should fit in the ultrabay adapter. The only 500GB drive that will fit is the Samsung. The other 500GB drives are 12.5mm in height whereas most notebook drives are 9.5mm. The Samsung I believe is the only 500GB 9.5mm drive at the moment.
