    Hey Guys/Gals,

I am noticing that when I shut down, via power button or gui, my 'power on' light stays lit. I wish I could say this happens all the times, but there are those times when the computer will shut down correctly, I just cant seem to get consistant results. Here are examples of what I have noticed:

After the computer shuts down with the 'power on light' on, I will have to hold the power button in for about four seconds to get it to turn off. Note I have to do this to get the lappy to boot back up again. Note there has been times when I reboot, I will get a unexpected shutdown prompt at start up.

I figured vista might be taking a long time to shut down so yesterday night I let it stay in this off state, 'power light on'. After five mins, the computer started up on its own. Again this does not happen all the time.

I remember reading a thread about someones lappy loosing battery power after they turn it off...I would like to think this is the problem as the computer looks shut down but taking the power cord out trips it to battery....

    Anyone else having/had this problem?

try doing a "Hive Cleanup" on your machine. It sounds like a program is giving you a hard time. Heres the link.

Aha! Try updating the drivers for that then.
