    T61p/Vista network is very slow, help!

    So i got my t61p with vista and ive had a ton of problems, hard to determine whats vista whats the machien etc.

    so i decided to start by getting vista SP1, and when i went to download wirelessly on the laptop it had a transfer rate of 17kb/s. so i tried it on my pc which is wired and got 100kb/s. so i wired my laptop and get 60kb/s.

    can someone give me advice on how to diagnose this issue, the pc is on xp pro.

    even wired the laptop is half the speed, and wireless its 1/4. I got the intel wireless wifi link for my t61p (which was the more expensive reccomended card)

    aanyone have any advice?
