    On the configuration page there's

    Wireless Personal Area Network
    ThinkPad Wireless USB Adapter


    Is that really wireless USB?

    I mean is it built in and has anyone had any experience with it?

    its probably a usb adapter that will allow you to connect to wireless networks.

    I think that is the UWB (Ultra Wide Band) technology that will allow external devices like USB hubs and DVI ports to be wirelessly connected to the computer. I believe that this is just the laptop side support for it, and the t61p doesn't actually come with anything that will connect to UWB. For that matter, I don't think there are any UWB devices available yet.

    I believe that there are a few Wireless USB devices that have hit the market - although not enough people probably know about the fact that it does exist. I agree that the USB Adapter probably is just a regular wireless 802.11g USB adapter. As for the Wireless Personal Area Network, it probably is just Bluetooth. I highly doubt that Wireless USB would already be on a laptop so soon. i think Toshiba is the only one that has a laptop with Wireless USB (I think its one of their new tablet PCs...)

    Just ordered my T61p and I got the following in the Line Item quote

    1 42V8600 SBB UWB ANTENNA $0.00

    The sales rep was not sure about the Ultra Wide Band.
