Will Lenovo ever release a T61P with the nvidia quadro 570m card at 1280x800 resolution?

They offer hideously (IMO) high resolutions. You could send in a suggestion. If there's demand for it, i'm sure they'll try it.

Have you actually used a WSXGA+ 15.4 inch LCD (1680x1050) in a laptop? That resolution seems to be perfect to me. I think WUXGA would be too small for me but WSXGA+ is nice.

No, but i'm used to lower pixel densities. I just got a 22" widescreen monitor with a resolution of 1680x1050, and its pixel density of 90ppi looks great.
Some other reasons I prefer "low" resolutions is that games run faster, and Windows doesn't scale things well. -
I run games at non native (native is 1680 here) and they look alot better than my 24" wuxga scaled. Might be because the drivers' interpolation algorithm is alot better on my notebook lcd than my 24" but I suspect the higher pixel densities on the 15.4" plays a part too. I doubt Windows plays much of a role here but I could be wrong.
Also another reason for going higher ress is you have more options - what if I want to game at 1440x900 instead of 1280x800? a WSXGA+ will give that option. At native 1280x800 your choices are rather limited.
T61p Wxga?
