    Hello All,

I have noticed some hotfixes that came out for my T61p 6459-cto running vista ultimate 32 bit. I was just wondering if any of the KB hotfixes were worth the download. Also is the new bios worth the upgrade or don't bother?

The hotfixes I am talking about are
Windows Vista update modules (KB937500) - Notebooks
Windows Vista update modules (KB929637) - Notebooks
Windows Vista update modules (KB929191) - Notebooks
Windows Vista update modules (KB930979) - Notebooks

i suggest you read the update details before making a decision. BIOS upgrade should be done. you might witness system slowdown after the BIOS update, but with 1 or 2 system restarts, everything comes back to normal. i did bios update 2 times :)

I agree with vi3tscorpian about the BIOS updates. I usually do the BIOS updates right away, and it takes a couple of boots before everything is back to normal speed wise.

In case you missed it, if you intend to proceed with the BIOS upgrade to version 1.26-1.06 (the latest one), the Windows Vista update modules (KB937500) needs to be installed first.

    NOTES

    - If you use Windows Vista, before applying this BIOS into the system, you should install Windows Vista KB 937500. The information of KB937500 is located in the following Microsoft's site.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937500/en-us

To verify if KB937500 is installed properly,

    1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.

    2. Find 'Programs and Features' and click. If this option does not exist on the window, choose Classic View to find it.

    3. On 'Tasks' pane, click on "View installed updates".

    4. Verify that KB937500 is included in the list of installed updates.
