This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     My systray has the "safely remove hardware" icon for the dvd burner. Is there a way to get rid of that? I don't ever plan on using it.

    I don't think there is I beleive it is always there.

    The only way to remove it is by hiding the icon but that would mean you couldn't safely remove any other external device because the icon is hidden.
