    My systray has the "safely remove hardware" icon for the dvd burner. Is there a way to get rid of that? I don't ever plan on using it.

    I don't think there is I beleive it is always there.

    The only way to remove it is by hiding the icon but that would mean you couldn't safely remove any other external device because the icon is hidden.
