Hey all I have a problem. Recently I've noticed that my laptop just shuts down randomly due to heat. I opened her up, clean her out, and still get the same problem. I heard the IBM uses great cooling techniques and I have yet to have a problem until about a week ago. I have Winamp, WoW, and Ventrilo open when this happens which I normally always have running. I also have a Zalman Laptop cooler always running on high speed.
My specs:
Vista Business x64
Intel C2D 2.6
Nvidia fx 570m
4gb RAM
200gb HDD
I really dont want to send her out for fixing so a solution that does not require this would be great....otherwise ill have to bear through it lol. Thanks in advance

How do you know that it is caused by heat? The T61p fx570 with 2 dimms has other problems

and the 570m also has a problem common to all the nvidia 7-8 series chips, where the chip mount fails from repeated on-off cycles.
good luck in identifying which design flaw it might be... -
That thread sort of loses it when they demonstrate that they don't know the difference between a 32 and a 64 bit operating system.
