I just called, it was removed due to an indefinite backorder. Since they could not confirm from the supplier when they would be back in stock they removed it from their site. It will be back once they have a confirmed delivery date.

It looks like such a great deal, but I really can't bring myself to fund the red chinese government.

Man - if anyone else made that thing...

Well right after that I called up and still managed to get the T7800. I wonder how long this will delay my order.

If it makes you feel any better, my buddy works for Lenovo in Raleigh and said a lot of the operations is now based there and increasing every day.

Something else to chew on - I'm a Defense contractor and last year the US dumped the Dell contract and bought thousands of Lenovo laptops.

Yeah however I ordered my laptop on 9/28/07 and the original shipping date was 10/17/07 and now it says estimated shipping date 11/19/07. I called them up and *****ed and they were like it shows in the system that it should ship on 10/26/07. It's taking hella long.

Ordered mine with T7800 on 9/25 with original ESD of 10/12... on the 13th ESD changed to 10/30... Called them on the 15th and was told it would ship on the 19th.... called the 19th and they said I would have the tracking info on the 23rd... called on the 23rd and they said it would ship the week of Oct. 27th... called again on the 24th because the rep I had talked with sent me a confirmation email saying that she had talked with the factory and it would ship the week of 11/27. WTF, another month? I emailed her back and asked if maybe she had made a typo and meant the week of 10/27. She emailed me back confirming that it was a typo and it will ship the week of 10/27. Who the **** knows at this point, all I can do is hope it ships this week.

    Edit: Laptop shipped 10/26/07... WOOT
