I'm using Vista x64 and my specs are in my sig.

I changed my power options to do nothing when I close the lid.

Now if I tell my computer to sleep and then close the lid, it never goes to sleep. The screen goes black, but it just sits there. The light never changes to sleep. I can't wake it up either. So I end up shutting it off and restarting. Losing everything. Has anyone else had similar problems.

Overall the laptop has been solid, but it has a couple very annoying issues.

Did u try giving him some coffee?lol

Coming to point,it should be the settings that conflict. Can you wait a few minutes, before closing the lid to see if it's the setting?

I can but its a habit to put it to sleep and then close the lid. If the when I close the lid do nothing setting is set, it should really do nothing rather then crash the box. Anyway seems like I should have searched first. Plenty of people with this issue.

I have had the exact same problem. As I mentioned in a different thread... I flashed the latest BIOS from Lenovo and so far it seems to have fixed the problem.

Thanks. The 4/28 bios fix my issue too.
