    hey i have a question... i just recieved my w530 (I Love It) but the number 8 on the keyboard works about 50%... Is that a defective unit or what should I do?

    Feel free to call IBM to get a replacement. I'd be surprised if that wasn't covered under the factory warranty.

    It's Lenovo now, the new thinkpads don't even mention IBM

    Lenovo owns the Thinkpad trademark and production capabilities since 2005, but the agreement was that IBM still services the Thinkpad warranties. So anyone in the US with a Thinkpad will be calling into IBM's Atlanta, GA call center for warranty service.

    Good decision, if you ask me.
