As many are aware I have had bleeding issues with the IPS screen in my x230. I didnt get IPS for the wide viewing angles- I just wanted a great bright screen with sharp colours.

I read somewhere that a high-quality TN panel could possibly meet my needs because I am not as bothered about viewing angles as I am about bleeding.

Are there any high-quality TN screens which I could put in my x230 to match the sharp image and brightness I currently have with my x230 IPS screen?

Well, having owned a X220 with a TN panel (which is the same one as on X230), I will say that it's not something I'd recommend as a replacement.

You'll have to look at other screens and pray for compatibility.

    Good luck.

Is it really that bad? I have some bleed on my X220, but I only see it when I boot. The other thing to consider is even if you find a suitable screen, there's no guarantee the new screen won't have bleed. This is a common with notebook screens.
