Hello. I'm using TPFanControl for my Windows 8 B5400 Lenovo laptop to control my fan speed. When I'm normally watching videos or doing light work ( max 60-65 °C ) I usually turn it to Manual mode to 6 with no problems. However, when I'm playing games or doing hard work ( 70°C - 90°C ) I'm turning the fan speed to 7....it works fine like for 20 minutes but after that time ( usually when my temperature reaches about 80°C ) it turns back on Smart mode. When I turn it back on manual it works only for about 2 minutes, then it switches back to Smart mode. It's really annoying because if it's set on Smart mode, it can heat up even to 95°C and fan is running kinda slowly. when I have Manual on 6 it gets max. +- 85°C and that's much better. I already tried to get to UEFI ( BIOS ) to disable the Smart Fan mode but there's no advanced tab and I didn't found solution to how to access it.

Is there any way to let the Manual running all the time? If so can you tell me the way? I don't care much about the BIOS thingy I just don't wanna it to turn automatically to Smart mode all the time. And what's the BIOS
    mode too?

    Thanks for all replies
