    So I'm assuming the TPM chip does all the encryption/decryption processing? That should make any performance hits neligible right?

    Also, if you use whole disk encryption the drive can't be taken out and used on another platform, ie no way to extract the encryption keys from the TPM chip.

    If you choose to do Whole Disk encryption can the encryption be removed?

    Gah, just realized I'm assuming TPM chip = ability to do whole disk encryption (z61m). Am I wrong? Sorry, such a newbie.
