My spacebar on my T43 started misfiring about 25-30% of the time, so I placed a call to tech support today and talked to Robert. I've had this problem before and so this was a good chance to compare their support "post Lenovo buyout" to "pre Lenovo buyout".
No wait... Robert answered almost immediately after I selected hardware support.
One of the really neat things that I liked was that after selecting hardware support, I heard a message saying "you are being transferred to our support center in Atlanta, Georgia". Yipee... I get to talk to an American!
Robert was professional, courteous, and thorough. After I assured him that I could do my own install, he collected my delivery information and verified that a keyboard was in stock. He indicated I should be receiving it within 1 to 3 days and further clarified that it may be delivered as early as tomorrow but no later than Friday. I like that!
All in all, I saw no difference between the support provided in the past with what I received today. In fact, I think it may have been better.

Nice to hear that Lenovo offers good support!!
Man, it is SO nice to talk to people who actually speak english...when I had an HP, that was just terrible, I couldn't understand half the words the person said. Although, when I did get an american (1 out of 10 people lol), they were nice and helpful.
Sounds like you had a good experience! -
One of the reasons people love ThinkPads.

As a follow up to my post yesterday. Not surprisingly... my new keyboard showed up today. This is typical of the service that I have had from IBM in the past. Spot on!
