I bought my children a brand new LENOVO notebook from the June 2014 PC show for their school work.

Fresh out of the box, the notebook turn faulty the next day. It ‘FROZE’ and became unresponsive. The service centre refused our request for a replacement. After almost a week at the service centre, we were told that the electronic board of the keyboard is faulty and they have replaced a new board. We were assured that they have done ‘thorough’ investigations and the notebook is okay.

The second day after we brought it home, we were shocked to face the same issue again. We called the service centre and was told to bring it down AGAIN!!! After five working days at the service centre, we did not hear from them at all. When we finally called, we were told that the motherboard of the notebook is faulty. However, the repair cannot be done because they do not have the part. We were told to wait for another week or two. We requested for a replacement ASAP because our children need it for their school work. We were told that its IMPOSSIBLE.

WE WILL NEVER BUY A LENOVO AGAIN!!!!!

You should have returned the laptop and ordered another one. I don't think Lenovo does a replacement machine unless it has been repaired multiple times or in extremely rare cases. As for parts being on order, that is typical of every manufacturer, not just Lenovo.

If very quick warranty/repair service is required, you'd be better off with a business laptop with a NBD warranty (Lenovo Thinkpad, Dell Latitude, HP Elitebook, for example). You don't specify which Lenovo you bought, but I suspect it's not a Thinkpad...

Sucks you got a lemon but like Jarhead said if you want fast warranty turnaround you need to get a NBD warranty, if even available on your mystery laptop. Sounds like you have unrealistic expectations, I wouldn't fault Lenovo for that but this is your first and probably last post here.. Why am I bothering to reply? Because your assessment of Lenovo's warranty service does not seem fair/objective and should be ignored by others, IMO. If this was a mission critical device then a reasonable person would have ensured the warranty they purchased is appropriate for their needs.
