I just installed windows 7 on top of XP.And I chose to discard the entire winXP file and folders.

After installation complete, new windows look nice, but the text is crappy and not clear as before.

I wonder what driver should I install to improve the text quality?

I am using Thinkpad t61 t7100 with no dedicate graphic card.

I have no idea how to enable clear type, I tried to look in the control panel - display and couldn't find where the clear type is.

My screen resolution settings is as below

    display: PC mobile display
    resolution: 1280 x 800
    orientation: landscape

full model number: Lenovo ThinkPad T61 7659A21

Run Windows 7 Cleartype Text Tuner. Go to the Start Orb and type "Cleartype" until you see "Adjust Cleartype Text". You will be able to calibrate the text that suits best to your screen.

thanks. I have it fixed. Actually the clear type is the reason why font was blurry. I turned it off and font look sharp again. But still nowhere as good as that of windows XP.

Cleartype fonts drive my wife nuts. I can't live without them. I went through tuning with her and everything and still it's a no go. Glad to know that she isn't nuts after all. ...or, maybe there are just two of you... J/K!
