    Thanks to everyone on this awesome forum who gave me input on my thinkpad purchase. I just pulled the trigger and got this baby for $1090 (tax included). It will ship the 16th. Hopefully it will last me the 4 years that I need it to!!!

    Through Lenovo direct I guess? They got an offer recently for 1200 something, and you can apply the coupon code for a further $200 off, which makes up the price.

    I though about that deal as well but in the end I bought X201s for $1399 , mainly due to the better WXGA+ screen and lighter weight. Bought another 4 cells battery for non-demanding days

    nice, i just bought mine X200s for 999 AUD with the 1 year back to depot warranty, which when considering the current USD exchange rate is about 900 USD.
