    I feel left out.

    I dont have it.

Got my Y50 a few weeks ago an the screen has no yellowing and looks ok from most angles.

    Have they changed screens?

Really do not know what to think about it.

Mine caps at 60 and looks great, whites are white and so on.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks

    Eric

You've probably got one from the refreshed series which indeed comes with an IPS panel. Its not the best IPS, brightness is a bit lower and the response time - higher but its way better than the ones Lenovo used in the first models..

Well yeah, its an IPS after all :) FHD non-touch, right? Probably LG SPL1..

    I assume your Y50 came with 960GTX?

Yeah, non touch but with the GTX860M.

Great little machine for under a grand.

The display on mine is indeed the LG LP156W-SPL1. Also known as the LGD044F

Do not purchase your replacement screen from Displaysscreen.com! This company is dishonest. I purchased a replacement screen for my Lenovo Y50 laptop on 15 March 2016. When it arrived it had a sticker "Reliability Test Sample" This means that it is NOT NEW. It has probably been used for 100's of hours non-stop before being discarded by the manufacturer. It also flickers on and off regularly! The company claims to be located in Hong Kong (website) but they are actually located at: Liu Wei Room 313, FuYuan Building, NO.460 FanShen Road, BaoAn 45 District,Shenzhen 518000,Guangdong Province, China Tel: 13332992046 They even want YOU to lie when you return their merchandise. They want you to declare the value to be only $20, but they charge you $144USD! Disgraceful in any culture!
