I know the specs look very impressive but the $3000 starting price is scary :( Might even be the most expensive starting laptop of all mainstream companies...

I agree with the scary starting price. But it pretty much includes everything. Still, just WOW!

It has a high starting price but assuming that includes a quad, digitizer, LED screen, and dual HD's its not a bad deal. I don't see them selling a bunch of these but I am sure that those who need are extremely happy to see this.

It just came out, so prices high is expected. For the W700, price will probably go down later, unfortunately it's not the case for the new HP ones.

Why isn't it the case for the new HP's ?? Dont they all fall in prices after about a month or so? The aluminum palm rest area is pretty sick looking...

The current HP 8710w prices is still as high after one year of releasing, no coupons or discounts whatsoever, and HP is not gonna have a big sale for their business-line like Lenovo. So don't expect to get a cheap HP 8730w after some months.

I can't wait to see what Dell is going to put in their new Precision line-up. If you look on their website, they mention something about quad-core, 16GB RAM in a 17". This can be really fun.
