My TP is just over 2 years old now. Fine product and continues to be a great purchase and the most reliable most durable despite heavy usage piece of technology I've purchased. Would purhchase again. With that being said, their customer service is still bad news. Part ordered takes 2 weeks to ship? lol. This doesn't beat the sales manager who reneged on a refund due to me due to a website error. I did collect on that, almost 1 year later by going to the BBB after the national PR rep dissed me after initially offering to help. I have a 911 emergency type recording of one of their sales people lying about the refund which I would upload if I didnt like their product so much. So I see their website is still chaotic with log ins working at some places and not others, order tracking working just as chaotically. Just blowing steam.

What kind of part was it? Sometimes they're beholden to suppliers as to how fast they can get things. Screens for example are a major headache if you have a higher resolution, and especially now that the move to widescreen is complete, getting a "standard" screen replacement is beaucoup bucks and definitely would take time to find the part.

andrew is correct. some parts are hard to get. most replacement parts, however, ship overnight from one of three warehouses here in the US. while that doesn't make an excuse for your experience, it does make me curious to know what part took two weeks to show up on your doorstep. if it was for a repair you sent into the depot then typical supply/demand/stock issues would apply.

I never said tech support was not good. I said the sales people are shady and only a subset probably but they had some bad Apples.
