    Hi,
I'm looking for a x61 for work (word, excel, email...) but i do play 1 game and 1 game only on computers and thats Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. It's old-2002. Min req. is 600mhz, 128mb ram, 32mb video ram.
I'm wondering any one played this on x61? if so: Xp, vista? settings? fps?

If you haven't played WolfET on x61, so what is the most recent game that runs on the x61 in your experiences?

    thanks

A game from the year 2003? Of course it would run and with flying colors.

The reason i ask is my current notebook:SOny Vaio c140g from bought last year. 1.66Ghz, 1Gb ram only runs the game around 25 frames per second average. This game is old but it seems to be very demanding; i think this is largly due to the nature of the game, which is all online.

Doesn't the X61 use the Intel X3100 graphics? Your older notebook probably had the GMA 950 which suck for almost anything.

Intel has been working at perfecting their X3100 drivers for playing games and general use - download the latest ones from Intel and you'll probably be able to play the game.

Most recent game that i've been playin on my loaded x61s is Sins of A Solar Empire. Runs pretty well on the x3100.

I'm confused. The 965 you were referring to is the chipset and I'm pretty sure only the X3100 is in that chipset. Are you sure you have GMA 950 graphics?

He had the GMA950 on his Sony Vaio. Now he has a X3100 on his X61.

Your X61 will play that game fine I'm sure. My R61 can handle CS:S (at low settings) with the same GPU.
