Seem like the prices of the T61p and T61 are going down a little, Can someone PM me a EPP login so I can pull the the trigger on a T61p while the prices are down some.
-
Use this also, I found, "Save up to $325 on Thinkpad T Series notebooks during our Back to School sale plus take an extra 10% off with eCoupon code: USPJULYT72. Hurry, this eCoupon is only good through July 22!"
-
Search for Visa and use that method, or search for SPP and use that one - it should get you pretty close to the EPP price (EPP doesn't actually save you much, it's combining all the offers that makes it all worth it....)
-
u serious? EPP saved me an extra 15%

Cheese and Rice!!!
Google for the SPP code it'll turn up.
Then just stack all these coupons and go for it...
fatwallet.com (3.5%+ SPP (5%) + couponcode USXIBMSPPTRIPLE (5%) + AMEX/TM (5% at the lowest)
AMEX/Tailormade Discount
*5% off purchases between $1,100 and $1,299.99
*7% off purchases between $1,300 and $1,599.99
*10% off purchases of $1,600 and higher
That's at least 18.5% (or more depending on how much you spend on AMEX/TM) on top of the current sale price! What are you waiting for? EPP is only going to give you another 5% because you can't use the coupon code USXIBMSPPTRIPLE with EPP. It is a SPP only code. Hence the coupon code says "SPP Triple". -
-
I say do the SPP/academic AND the USPJULYT72 coupon. Then you save 15%, and I haven't even included Fatwallet and AMEX/Visa yet.
Finally a sale can beat the Memorial Day sale, which was the best sale before this one. Although, I'll have to start a little controversy by not re-explaining how I was able to get a deal back then as good as today's deal is. To be honest though, I am including the fact that I got a free battery because of the May 9th-24th delays. -
I think most people know of the Meyer's sale.

Sometimes I think we're being penny-wise and pound-foolish. We all want to pull the trigger at the right moment and perhaps even brag about it when we do.
In the end, you're either happy with your purchase, or you're not. In my opinion EPP is way overblown and should not be the reason for you to pull the proverbial trigger.
Potential buyers are given many suggestions here on NBR as to savings. Forget EPP and think about the laptop you want. Then just go ahead and buy it. If it's junk, you'll know soon enough.
I love my T61, by the way. Imperfections and all -
as far as i can see, the t61p has dropped 10.00
whoopta freaking doo.
as for pulling trigger at the right moment, there is no right moment. with 21 day price adjustment, every day is the right moment, as long as your bloody computer exists to be purchased online. -
Way too much logic in the last two posts. People get caught up in a few dollars of the price plus or minus, and you can tell it's less about the actual difference of money to them, more like a score of sorts.
Like those who list along with specs, the cost of their system in their signatures! lol I think this happens with specs too to some extent. -
Thanks for saving me another $100, now I have a 90W travel charger!
-
Yeah, this is finally a sale that matches back at the end of May. Only difference is if you order today you will probably get your machine before the people in may ever get theirs.
Same configured machine for me is about 40 bucks cheaper than it was 2 months ago.
Although unlike 2 months ago, the R series will actually save you 90 bucks instead of costing you more because of the extra % discounts they gave to the T series.
Man, you can actually get a pretty good machine now for 1200. -
This sale is significantly better than the end of may especially if you upgrade the HD, RAM and HD.
-
Why would you updgrade the HDD, I mean, unless you don't need it until January.

Thanks to Flight #24 I finally pulled the trigger today on a T61. I would have gotten the T61p, but not a fan of the display option. So, I settle for the T61 and save about $ 300.00. Only thing I am not getting is an intergrated web camera. But I see Lenovo offer a Lenovo USB webcam I can attach to the top of the lid if I really need a webcam. OK, this is my specs:

Not a bad system. It has UWB. I think it should last at least 3 years before I need a updated system. This is my first Thinkpad. My other laptop was a Dell 8100 Inspirion. It was a pretty good laptop. But with only 512 mg or RAM, does not handle vista to well. So, I put Ubuntu Linux on it. Thanks for all the help guys. Let me know what you think of the specs... $$650.00 total saving...NICE

I ordered my T61P yesterday afternoon and I didn't know about the coupon. Can I call them and use the coupon now?
-
Lenovo cannot make price adjustments until the laptop has shipped. That's what my CSR told me. -
-
I don't want to call customer service until after it actually ships. I'm afraid they will screw up my order. -
No, they don't send you an email.
I wish I could checkout right now so I could make a quote and pricematch before the coupon expires. Damn it -
-
-
That coupon made me finally pull the trigger. I saved about $225. Now time to wait
-
-
I ordered a T61p about a week ago without using USPJULYT72. The laptop hasn't shipped but the advanced mini dock has (also, I opened it). At this point, can I easily cancel the rest of my order?
If so, what will I have to do with the dock? Obviously, I'd rather keep it than send it back and pay 15% restocking. If I do that, will I lose my Amex/Fatwallet discounts on it? -
-
-
-
Why do you need Vista Ultimate? -
-
-
The T61 & T61p prices are improving
