I have just changed my good X60s to a X61s, but the fan is running all the time on my new laptop? I have just installed Vista 64 bit on it, and updated windows and updated System Update. Is it normal that the fan is running all the time, or what can I do?

Is it because of the 64 bit, or is the X60s just more silent? I really don’t like the fan run all the time

it has nothing to do with the os - it just runs all the time, nothing you can do with it

It's normal; my X61s does the same thing. However, it does keep the bottom of the notebook very cool.
