    Hi to all ... just wanted to know where in the USA or Europe I could still find a new X61s. And is the heat very bad, loud fan noises I cannot stand. Meanwhile my trusted old Toshiba died on me, with an HDD crash. Since I had to travel I got a netbook, a Samsung NC10 and I must say I am very impressed. Good for movies, good for general work, very silent, amzingly so, and it is more than fast enough for what I need. Still I would like a faster Lenovo, and I wish the screen issues with the X200 would be fixed. If this 350dollar Samsung gets everything right then please why can´t Lenovo? I will stick with this maybe until there is a better choice .... I would actually like to buy both the X200s and X200 then compare and send one back ...not possible where I live ...

    Did you check the outlet? I'd say the X61s gets warm, but not too hot to use.

    my x61s is very quiet and relatively cool...never had an issue where it felt too hot to use.

    it gets warm on the right palm rest due to the wireless card.
    If noise bothers you, you can do 2 things that can help

    1. install tpfancontrol and regulate the fan.
    2. Install an SSD.
