What was the last model of IBM Thinkpad that was entirely made by IBM?
When IBM still made a PC, are their qualities much better than their competitors?

The first ThinkPad that was completely 100 % Lenovo made was the ThinkPad X301. -
The T60 has IBM Thinkpad branding
As shown the colorful IBM logo

The latest and greatest IBM-designed machine at that point would be the T43p
As an aside, Lenovo made competent thinkpads up through 2011, mainly because they had been recycling IBM's design for so long. When they changed the keyboard layout, removed thinklight, etc, I wrote Thinkpads off as a dead brand. -

My P51 motherboard has been changed twice and the screen once in the past 18 months. Really garbage laptop

My personal P70 and work P50 have been fine.
My P70 was a factory refurb. It did admittedly have a data corruption error with the first motherboard that was not very easy to reproduce (it wasn't too hard to reproduce under Linux under a heavy I/O load, but it was very difficult to reproduce on Windows, because I had difficulty generating enough I/O load). Since it was replaced under warranty, no difficulty for the past 20+ months. My P50 has been trouble-free since I got that (18 months ago). -
My ThinkPad P51 is almost two years old now and I never had any problems with it.
