    1. If I have three ThinkPads T61 Vista Business, can I use the same Lenovo XP Recovery CD Sets?

    2. Is that the CD keys installed on three ThinkPads are same (using same XP recovery tools)? If yes, can I still receive Microsoft Window Update service from Microsoft?

I know if there the same machine type they can use the same discs. For example my machine type is 9456-55U. I can use XP/Vista recovery discs from any machine that starts with 9456. They'll probably work if they're not, but have to re-install some drivers as the hardware will be different.

Each machine gets a unique key, but the recovery discs are already activated. I don't think you'll have a problem with Windows Update.
