Can someone post the weight details of t420 as yipcw did a few days ago for t420s? such as

    Machine+6cell+optical?
    Machine+6cell?
    Machine+9cell?

    According to yipcw, T420s weights
    3 lb 15.55 oz
    3 lb 11.15 oz w/o optical
    3 lb 10.70 oz w/o optical & 4-in-1
    3 lb 00.50 oz w/o optical & 4-in-1 & battery

The T420s weight below jives with the weight in the specs at http://www.lenovo.com/psref/pdf/tabook.pdf

I'm sure the T420 specs a close enough, too.

You'll notice if you compare the 6 cell T420 to the T420s, there's only about a half pound difference. The T420 chassis is thinner than the T410 of last year.

My T420 with the 9 cell battery is definetely over 5 lbs. I couldn't get an exact reading because the scale I used only reads up to 5 lbs.

That's the thing, I think the tabook is wrong.

It list T420 weight with 6 cell battery as 1.9kg, but a video review showed 2.2kg.

The tabook says t420 (6 cell) starts from 4.31lbs, but the tech specs from lenovo website says "Starting from 4.84lbs" ( http://www.lenovo.com/shop/americas/content/pdf/notebooks/ThinkPad/t-series/ThinkPad T420-T520.pdf)

For t420s, the weight with optical and 6 cell is 3 lb 15.55 oz (courtesy of yipcw), which is close to the 3.94lbs listed on the tech spec pdf.

So I guess the tech spec pdf is more accurate?

I think Lenovo's website is actually more accurate in this case. Can someone w/ a 6-cell T420 weigh it?

The tabook says 9-cell t420 is 4.7lbs. Another reason to believe that the tech specs on lenovo website is more accurate...

Again. It's always wrong. I think they do it as a test.
