...in my LCD. It's too long to be one of mine, and other than that I love my new x201. I did not get on-site warranty service, but I really don't want to have to wait two weeks to have the screen replaced by mailing it in.

Can I upgrade my warranty now after receiving my new notebook to have on-site service and have someone out here quicker? I'm assuming that a ill-sealed LCD should be covered under my service agreement?

    Thanks!

Yes, you can upgrade your warranty. Call lenovo regardless to see what it will do.

the upgrade will take at least 2 weeks to come through, so if you can wait for that long, then sure why not.

    Is it a goat hair?

Sorry, couldn't resist. On a serious note a hair would be quite annoying. Good luck.

There was a dog hair in my T61 screen. But it was from my dog (yellow lab). I managed to shake the laptop to make the hair fall to the side of the screen so it couldn't be seen.

Ressom, I'll give that a try, but it seems pretty well lodged in there so I'm not positive that it'll want to move. More later...
