Thermal paste for direct die applications that doesn't pump out?

What thermal paste should I be using for my Legion 5 that doesn't pump out?

Solution is Honeywell PTM7950 pre-cured sheets.

 

Not sure what paste to use.

 

Just get the stock paste; apparently it's by Honeywell.

I TFX pump out you haven’t many paste options left. ICD or Phobya Nano Grease Extreme.

 

I use graphite pads now on both my server / laptop and they're performing just fine. Idle temps on the server ~75-80F / laptop ~40-50C depending on which mode I have it set for performance or silent..

They don't dry out or pump out and they're $10 for 2 of them or $15 for 2 larger ones.

I've used them on my 8700K server for 2 years and built my 12700K w/ them and added them to the laptop in the last couple of weeks.

 

Order a sheet of pre-cured Honeywell PTM 7950 ( not the paste, which isn't cured and will not work). That's the exact stock TIM Lenovo uses on the Legion machines. There are several threads on Reddit where people try to repaste the Legions, screw up their temps massively, and end up buying the Honeywell stuff.

All you do is cut it to fit the die, replace the heatsink, and done.

Edit to add: On another Reddit thread, someone pointed out that the sheet has very thin protective plastic sheeting on both sides and can be finicky to separate -- one of the guys didn't realize the film was on both sides, didn't remove it, and ended up with about the result you'd expect.
