    Hi guys,
I ordered a Lenovo from refurbished section.
They temporarily authorised it and i received a laptop in 3 days.
    and then,
I checked online, and it says: in process.
in 2 weeks the temporary authorization got lost, and none is charged.
well first of all, the order that i got was a bit different than what i expected, i needed it i called them, they said, dont worry you are not gonna receive another one. and you will be charged shortly,
    Today, i received another laptop.
exactrly what i ordered in the first time.
i look at the order status page now, and it says it shipped.
but no money ever was blocked from my credit card.
i cant call them and say charge me because they already will charge me sometime.
I cant send them this new one back right now, because if i do, and if they call me, and ask about it, i might not be able to prove that i returned it.
    What should i do?
Will they ever charge me? What is gonna happen?

Use on of them, keep the other in a corner. They'll charge you sometime and you'll have to ship one of them back.

Same thing happened to me with Sprint when I bought a cellphone and they gave me two. Took them a good 2-3 months before it showed up on the bill.

Am i guilty? I tried to explain but they say there is nothing wrong.
I didnt call them after i get the second one, i want them to do it, because, as i said about the reasons above.
    I feel bad.
And the other thing is if they charge me ridiculous for one of them?
I mean right now, i should be charged 2 times, and two different prices, because they are a little different.
What if they charge me ridiculously for the first time,
as a matter or a fact i cant return the first one because i installed a memory on it.
    what are my rights?
Should i be less stressed with it?

I called them, stayed on the phone for 40 mins, he understood the situation, they were thankful for my honesty they will call back in a week, they wanted me to use the second one, the new one they said, (though its cpu was worse-but it was the one i ordered) anyways, they will not charge me anything for the old one, since i have been using it for 15 days, they will not charge me for shipping. they sent me a mail to make it official.
i think they were quite helpful.
i hope sb calls me :D

You did the right thing. I don't know about you, but I couldn't live with something like that on my conscience.

This reminds me of something that happened to me a few years ago. I got a killer deal on a open box/clearance Sony Vaio (the VERY SLIM version) from Circuit City. It was only like $643 or something like that, but should have been over $1700 at the time. It had a loose key on the keyboard that kept popping up, but they still sold it to me at that low price.

Anyhow I had it for a few days and tried to get Sony to fix it. I registered the computer in my name with them and all that. Then, come to find out Sony doesn't want to fix it saying that it's my fault it was damaged (understandable I guess).

So, I just return the laptop to CC and forget about it. I know I could have just paid for a new keyboard, but I didn't want to.

Anyhow, about a month or two later I come home and there's a FedEx door tag. I go to the FedEx station and pick up this package. What's inside? It's the same Sony laptop I bought and RETURNED to Circuit City. I guess CC sent it out to be repaired, but since I registered it in my name Sony thought it was mine and sent it back to me instead of CC.

I debated keeping it, but I returned it to CC. I tried to buy it (now that it was fixed) but they wouldn't let me (I'm sure they wanted it for themselves or something since the price was so low). They could have at least given me a gift card for returning it, but no.

Oh well! At least I don't have to go to sleep and have that hanging over my head... basically just do the right thing! :)

They still didn't call me or sent me a UPS. I am starting to get angrier and more nervous, if they charge me or sth, I will really be bad. And remember that, this is not an order, this is a mistake! They simply can't charge me for this, Since, the bank can't confirm

i can understand being a stand up guy and returning something if they send you 2 of them.. because once they do an audit they will find out that you were sent 2 of them..

but the circuit city story is mindbogglin.. a replacement keyboard is cheap even on ebay.. i would of kept it and got a new keyboard.. but for them to send it back to you.. it wasnt your error and your hands were free from it when you took it back to get a refund..

I'm a forgetful guy, I have (in the past very occasionally) lost my credit card and my bank send me one with a new number on it - it sometimes causes a problem when companies try and charge my old card number but they call me and I give them the NEW number, that way I'm in control of whether THEIR mistake costs ME money ;)

Back in the 2004 I ordered one of the new, $800 Dell 2001fp monitors, with an incredible 20.1" of 4:3 screen real-estate. This was a big event in my life.

Dell sent me two tracking numbers, so I thought it must either be a glitch or, for whatever reason, the monitor came in two boxes. I wake up one morning to two boxes outside my door with not one but two $800 monitors. Being the broke college student that I was (I'm trying to justify it to mute my guilt) I immediately set them both up in a dual monitor configuration and reveled in my luck.

I waited for Dell to call but they never did. I ended up selling it on eBay and getting about the same price as it cost new, so the monitor I kept was, in the end, almost free.

I wish I was a nice enough guy like some others in this thread but an $800 monitor is a tough thing to return.
