I’m considering the purchase of a T61 together with an Advanced Dock (the other alternative is HP Compaq 6910p – haven’t made up my mind yet). In the few pictures I’ve managed to discover around the internet I’ve noticed what seems to be a vent hole with a fan at the back of the Advanced Dock. Is my observation correct? If so, how loud does the fan get when the Dock is in use? Any significant additional noise would be a severe drawback for me.

I’ve found this review of an Advanced Dock over at thinkpads.com. The thread is highly interesting and insightful, containing a lot of information about using the more advanced features of the Dock. I share the link here in forums in case others were interested as well. :)
