    Hi All,
I have a T400 laptop with switchable graphics. I have been thinking about buying and hooking up a large external LCD to it. However, I want to do it via DVI. I have been thinking about picking up the Advanced Mini Dock since it has DVI out. What is the max resolution that the t400 can support through the doc's DVI port? Can it do 1920x1200? By any chance is the port dual-link DVI so I can go to an even higher rez? Thanks for the help!

The support page ThinkPad Digital Video Interface (DVI) and DVI Pass-Through answers your questions.

The switchable T400 will do 1920x1200 through dock DVI when switched to ATI GPU; when switched to Intel GPU it won't do DVI at all. I'm pretty sure the T400 does only single-link (not dual-link) DVI.

Models with integrated graphics (Intel only) can do DVI through the dock.

    Best regards,
    Frank
