I clean installed but I noticed no driver is installed.. not even WiFi driver nor Fn keys functioned to enter BIOS setting for example. So literally nothing but very clean Windows 7.
I was kind of shocked because I was planning to download drivers using System Update and Windows Update - and obviously WiFi wasn't working due to non-existent driver.
Is this normal? I have X200 and essential drivers are pre-installed automatically after clean install so I just have to download things like Power Manager and interface drivers.
And is it normal for screen size to not optimize by itself to maximum size? I downloaded monitor INF file from Lenovo driver site and it will only maximize to Edge 14's maximum resolution. I did the same with X200 and it changed to maximum size.. I don't think I can do clean install unless I figure this out because it looks so awful.
I tried to delete bloatwares instead of clean installing but there is just too much.. 88 processes running on Edge and it seems like more than 50% will never be used again.
Please help me out! Thanks!

I have clean installed Edge 13 and yes i have similar problem about wi fi driver.
First of all i disable automatic update from Windows Update. I dont want windows to messed up with TSU when searching for driver, i want TSU to get it first.
Then my workaround is to install the wifi driver and system update 4.0 manually from Lenovo site. I mean by manually is try to download it from separate place and using USB thumb drive try to install the driver from there.
I just need two drivers, first is driver for my wifi and the second is TSU. The hardest part is to download wifi driver, which is very important, there are Thinkpad card and non-Thinkpad card model (Intel). Just put your product code and read the system information summary there.
After my wifi goes on, i am firing TSU and voila, the system updated automatically. If i am not mistaken the whole file found on TSU is approx. 350 MB and several restart, but its worth downloading.
After all finished, i continue with Windows Update. -
Newer models released after the introduction of Windows 7 may find certain drivers not natively supported which is normal. The X200 was around before the release of Windows 7 hence you see your drivers supported straight away.
Generally as a precaution it's always best to download the Network drivers (Ethernet or Wireless) and possibly the graphics drivers on a USB stick before proceeding with the clean install.
To speed things up you may also use the Lenovo System Update utility to get the other drivers and software that you may require after. -
Before the update is done, you could copy the needrd updates down and copy them to an external disk. The instalation is then possible without the net.

I usually download the WiFi Driver only from Intel's web page because they have the latest driver and I don't want to install the software so this is the way to go.
Does anyone know about the monitor INF issue? Even after I installed and applied through Advanced setting found on Monitor (I followed the instruction on Google and worked for X200) - however, it will maximize only up to 1200x800 or something like that - but Edge 14's max size is 1388 x 800(?). -
What graphics driver you installed on the system? If you're using the native Windows 7 graphic drivers try using the Lenovo drivers in conjunction with the Monitor INF file to see if that brings up the right resolution.
