I´ve read here in this Lenovo service video about a ThinkPad Edge S230u (here: First Look: ThinkPad Edge S430 Under the category "2012 SMB Portfolio"). It is also listed here: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/lssbsetup.txt. I also found this picture: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/lssbsetup.txt which looks a bit weird. But I can´t find something else about it.

Probably an IVB update to the E220s. Odd to see it not announced officially like the others though.
-
Yes, but on the weird picture from this website: ÁªÏë ThinkPad S230Uƽ°åµçÄÔ it looks like a tablet
-
-
Ah, nice info. Thank you!
Where did you get this picture?
-
Interesting, some of those pictures from taobao look like its x220 remade for asian market and made into cheaper version?
-
I don't think any of the laptop pics are the S230u. They all seem to be Ideapad U series.

More infos on the S230u: http://download.lenovo.com/parts/ThinkPad/S230u_FRU_BOM_v1.pdf
- It will be released with Windows 8 (only Windows 8 Recovery Disks)
- 42Wh battery
- there will be a second HDD adapter (so maybe the Ultrabook will come with an Ultrabay?)
- CPUs: i3-3217U, i5-3317U, i5-3427U, i7-3517U
- Up to 8 GB of RAM
- No infos on the display
- HDDs (up to 500 GB) or SSDs (128 GB) -
Pictures from the User-Guide (looks really slim for a convertible):

All this needs now is an IPS display and a Wacom Pen (I can dream - can't I).
-
Considering it is a convertible tablet, I don't think IPS and Wacom would be much of a stretch.

Some traiders in UK allready list the S230u in two different configs:
Edge S230U CoreI5-3317U 4Gb 500Gb/7200Rpm 12.5 Inch Multitouch 350 Nit Ips Led With Gorilla Glass / N3C27UK / Lenovo / Laptops / Computers / Products / Etailer
Lenovo N3C29UK Edge S230u Core I7-3517u 8gb 128 Gb Ssd 12.5 Inch Multitouch 350 Nit Ips Led With Gorilla Glass ...
So a 350nit IPS screen with Multitouch and Gorrila Glass is confirmed. But no news on an additional digitizer. -
-
I'm guessing they changed the name. No point having 3 12.5 inch convertible tablets. So, probably Thinkpad S230u -> Thinkpad Twist.
Traditional convertible tablet returns with ThinkPad Twist, starts at $849 on October 26th | The Verge
Anyways:
-1366x768 12.5" IPS. Probably the same as the X230T.
-No stylus
-.2lbs lighter than the X230T
-Glass touchpad
-Keyboard not as good as T/W/X2xx. I'm guessing its a super thin keyboard like the X1C. -
