    Hi all,
I have a lenovo/IBM ThinkPad R50 1830-EM4. The laptops LCD screen is very dim, and images can just lightly been seen on the screen. I have installed all the XP drivers and still nothing. I have also updated the BIOS from version 3.04a to version 3.23 (latest version) this hasn't worked either. Plugged into an external monitor the PC works fine but the laptop LCD still cannot be seen - meaning its probably not the video card that is wrecked. I have also bought a replacement lcd (no difference) and a new inverter and it is still dim. I have not checked any of the cables, if I tried to i wouldn't know what I would be looking for or what i was doing.

    Any help would be appreciated...
    Thanks,

    From Dean.S
