The leather clashes a bit...if they had used black leather it would be better, IMO. But still, that's pretty cool, if not insanely priced!
-
It's been there for quite some time.
-
I like the idea behind it - about time a company started catering to people who really can and don't mind throwing their money around.
I really don't enjoy that leather binding feature. I would feel like Ron Burgandy; "I have several leatherbound books. My apartment smells of rich mohogany." Actually I might dig it if it wasn't for the trim around the edges. I'm just not down with it in its present state. -
And basically you don't want to pay 5,000 US.
-
Whose dum enough to buy that? lmao

2. You're a CEO or company executive who wants to impress the guys at the Country Club with your leather encrusted ThinkPad that looks more like a Day-Planner then a laptop.
3. A die-hard ThinkPad owner that makes a hobby out of collecting every significant offering of ThinkPad ever made.
4. A person who has a fetish for both computers, and leather... at the same time. -

BTW, These also come with 3 years of "Executive Class" on-site service in most major cities around the world (within 4 hours). If you're not in one of the cities they classify as major then you're guaranteed service no later than next business day. Yes they will put a tech on an aircraft to personally fix your rig if needed.
I'm quite sure that there are many Execs that would not even bat an eye at the price just to have this type of tech support available.
Personally I like the natural leather, it reeks of class IMO. -
ha ha..i definitely would get one if i know that tomorrow i won the california state lottery! dreamy thinkpad reserve......
-
Pretty nifty, but way overpriced IMHO.
I agree with it looking better with black leather versus the tan/brown. Just personal preference though of course. -
I think the leather case looks dumb on the thinkpad. And I'm a big fan of leather.
But to each his own. -
.
Even if I have money I'm not gonna buy it, simply I don't want a 12.1'' laptop. It would be ideal if they made a T61p reserve too -
I love the concept. Wealthy business executives have likely been waiting for just this type of offering. Hell, if I were a wealthy business executive, I might even consider it.
Though for the price and considering the exclusiveness of it, it would have been nice to throw in some exclusive features. I'm thinking SXGA+ screen and maybe even some low-power dedicated graphics? CEOs everywhere would salivate over that, methinks. -
-
hah employee price is 3700.... not a bad deal!
-
this is also for novelty gifts...what is one to give a person who already has everything?
-
shahbazi...wow, 1300 off.
