I just got an email from Lenovo China. (I'm subscribed to their ThinkPad China list).
It's an advertisement for a new (or reborn, depending on how you look at it) S series.

The email has a link to this page:
    ThinkPad S

It's 4:20am, so I'm not gonna say anything else, but looks like there are two models so far S420 and S220 born of all new materials. Take from that what you will. I have trouble navigating the all flash site.

    Going to sleep now. DISCUSS

hmm- do you think the s420 in china= e420s in new color and the s220 in china= e220s in new color choice? ("mocha black"- looks chocolately) Of course, the S420 has an amd 6630m option- as the e420s does outside of the us.

The original color was called "moss black". I went to look at the US lenovo website- and without fanfare, it seems that the US e420s and e220s models are now being sold in "mocha black".

This is probably a china only product. if Lenovo is going to bring another line to the global marketplace, it risks of diluting the brand.

These are the Edge E220s and E420s. They are just rebadged for the Chinese market.

I liked better the R series compared to the SL and L series. At least the R series had a choice for descrete graphics card. Intel Graphics would never compare performance to a descrete card.
