    Dear All,

My ThinkPad T42 (running on Windows XP) cannot be turn-on after being put into hibernate mode for around 24 hours.

I have tried to release the battery and put it on again, but with no success.

The power on button seems not responding at all.

Could anyone here give me a suggestion on how to solve this problem please?

Thank you very much for any advise on this matter.

    Best regards,

    Thomas

have you plugged your AC adapter into your notebook? Maybe the battery is exhausted? Try powering on with the ac adapter plugged in while the battery is taken out
