    ThinkPad T43 and ThinkPad T30.

    Does anyone know the difference between t43 and t30. Is any difference in appearance?

    Appearance ? Not sure about that.

    Internally, the T4x series have a Pentium M, while the T30 has a Pentium 4--a lot more heat needs to be disipated in the T30.

    I think T30s were only built for a short while--2002 to 2003.

    T43 is a much better notebook. T30s have issues with the memory slots. They run warmer due to the P4. If you are going to go old school, I think the T23 is a better option.

    I agree...if you can get an old school Thinkpad, make sure it's a T23. Otherwise, it better be a T4x series.

    The T43 is a much better than machine than the T30... zazonz and SpacemanSpiff have made their points.

    it seems that it is common sense that T23 is a legend, a classic, especially handfeel of its keyborad.
    u know, it is quite "unreasonable" and remarkable that people nowadays still remember it, moreover, willing to get it.
