I never understood what the ridges on the LCD bezel were. What are they?

From an old T40 (?) I used to have at my flat, I think they're they're to ensure a stable fit between the screen and the body, as well as the bonus effect of stopping light from shining on the screen at too sharp of an angle.

No, I'm talking about the ///////////////// that's on the top and the left side of the bezel.

You gotta admit, that standard screen version makes the widescreen look like the pudgy fat kid that gets picked on at school all the time. Makes me want to return my T61 WXGA+ for a standard aspect screen even more now...however after calculating, i would have to pay about 50% more than what i spent...and that's just not worth it.

The widescreen version makes the standard screen version looks like the anorexic girl who gets drunk once too often and goes to rehab but horribly fails.

I guess it's \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ then. So what the heck is it?

hahaha...so you calling it and the T60 and the T4x's before it, Lindsey Lohan's?! If that's how we're gonna look at it, I would say the widescreen is like Kelly Osbourne then. Seriously though, the widescreen 14.1" T61 with 6 cell is the same size as the 15 inch T4x.

The ////////////// is usually located on the side edges of the Tseries....guess they're only there for aesthetic purposes...it would make more sense for them to be on the sides as I thought they were there to help with grip to open or close.

Now that the huge picture has indicated the wireless logo next to the \\\\\\\\\\\\\, I think that's where the internal Wi-fi antennas are located. And they put \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ there because without it, the off-sided screen would look even more goofy.
