I am currently using a T61 with Nvidia graphics, attached to an Advanced Mini Dock. I have two 20" monitors (at 1600x1200 each) connected to the dock, one via DVI and the other via VGA.

I'm thinking about buying another T61, this time with the Intel graphics chip. If I attach this laptop to my docking station, does anyone know whether the integrated graphics will be able to drive my monitor setup?

Has anyone actually tested this arrangement?

I think it will but probably without heavy game graphics.

    It should work.
My T61 with Intel graphics drives one 24 (1920x1200) on dvi and one 22 (1680x1050) on vga.

A follow up question: Does anyone know whether the Intel GPU supports two LUTs (color lookup tables)?

Or, put another way, am I able to calibrate the two monitors independently and apply a different color profile to each?

No you can't at least the intel software doesn't support the independent color adjustment.

Interesting - I've just looked at a friend's Toshiba laptop with a similar Intel GPU. The software on that machine allows the internal LCD and an external monitor to be adjusted independently.

Does the software on the T61 allow this? But not adjustment of two external monitors?

Unfortunately we had no way to test two externals with the Toshiba.

may I ask what model monitors you all have ?

I'm using a 20" but mine is 1400x1050, same as my laptop resolution. It's made by Westinhouse .. and is ok but could be better.

    I have a Dell 2007FP and a Viewsonic VP2030b. Both are 20" and have a maximum resolution of 1600x1200.
