Does anyone know if the ThinkPad T61P uses the same AHCI as the ThinkPad T61?

I'm going to be slipstreaming the AHCI drivers and want to figure out which AHCI I need to use.

Just check below for instructions on how to determine what AHCI the T61P uses.

An example would be: Intel 82801HEM SATA AHCI Controller

    Thanks

Hate to bump an old thread, but it's pertinent and doesn't totally warrant a new topic.

I'm running Windows Server 2003 x64 Enterprise Edition and have had no luck in enabling my machine to boot in AHCI mode. I have run the Intel Chipset Installation Utility for the 965 mobile chipset, and it installed the ICH8M 3 Port SATA Storage Controller. However afterwards, after changing the BIOS setting for Serial ATA from compatibility to AHCI yielded a blue screen (couldn't see the hard disk).

I have since tried the floppy intended for boot time driver installation, but pointing to that location with my remaining unknown devices hasn't worked for me (tried all the unknown devices, and my 'IDE' controllers that I am emulating in lieu of true SATAness).

Curiously, in an older installation of XP Pro. x64 the Chipset Util. seemed to install the other driver letting me boot in AHCI mode (the 82801 SATA AHCI controller as pictured at the top of this thread, either GBM or the HEM/HBM...can't remember).

It hasn't proven a real problem, but I would like to run the machine at its full capability, and having to run in compatibility ruins that for me :/ Any help would be much appreciated.
