The author on youtube lists it as his design project for a class.

Thanks, I didn't see that. I changed the title so it's more appropriate. :)

Might aswell be named "concept laptop design" retains no features from the heritage of Thinkpads. Only reason I can think its been named T70 is to get attention, hence being posted in places like this forum.

If it was real, it would not be a winner amongst the traditional ThinkPad crowd. Not due to flaws in the design and construction, but because most ThinkPad fans like to keep it down/professional.

But as a design concept from a student, I must say I am very impressed. Excellent presentation. Here's the link to his Youtube page:

Wow this is a great concept for those Fashion notebook like Sony or Sharp or Lg. I can imagine a sony Vaio logo on it.

But for Thinkpad I prefer something more bussiness looking and sturdy

This design is VERY impressive. This is what the Thinkpad reserve edition should have been like!

Does this design remind anyone of that big as* HP laptop's design?

You mean the HP Pavilion HDX? http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=4041

Yes the hinge concept is similar, but that's about it.

I think it looks more like a Mac instead of a Viao.

Its a really neat looking note-book, but it sure as heck aint a Thinkpad.
