I'm actually quite surprised that this hasn't been brought up yet.

Not that I'm trying to follow every fad on this forum, but is anyone else up for a ThinkPad User Group of some sort? It could be rather beneficial, where people who clearly know much about the product could help those who come to ask questions about getting a possible new system, a new system they've received, or an older system they're having problems with.

I'd be happy to spearhead the idea.

Any ideas on an official name?

    I think that's called TPF. ;-)

Seriously, though, how would that work differently from this board? (I don't venture far from the Lenovo board here, so I'm not that familiar with the rest of NBR.)

    Haha, don't worry about it.

Basically there's several other groups (Linux Group, Apple Group, Overclockers Group, Dell Group, etc) that have sort of their own little club-type thing, unified within one thread, to chat basically about anything pertaining to their systems, etc. And usually, they issue their own badges/signatures.

That's what I'm talking about. Not a completely separate forum or something.

Alright, Core and Team (overused) are already chosen, so what about... ThinkForce... or maybe even DarkForce? Yep, the latter. :D

Finally someone brought it up. lol

But it seems the Lenovo forum doesn't have many issues with ThinkPads, and when they do, it's usually reporting the same stuff. It's one of the more popular, but quiet sub-forums. I always thought ThinkPad users were too cool for threads like "The ThinkPad Lounge" or "Team ThinkPad". ;)

Anyways, let's just top everyone else and be "The Best User Group. Ever.".

I was wondering why us Thinkpad owners did not have a "lounge". Hey, we could call it "The Thinklounge" lol. I am all up for the idea. When I went to look over a the HP forums, they had a Dv6700t owners lounge, etc. I think we should too :)

hi guys I need ur help....

I bought thinkpad T60 with Xp Professional SP2 but in Japanese...
I really mesh up with this language...

Fist i wanna backup the Xp to my external hard disk...Is it possible?
And then i wanna format and make partition...i heard that there is a permanent
partition for the ThinkVantange....IS it True?
if i format the my hard disc ...does ThinkVantage removes?

every thing is in japanese so i wanna install English Xp SP2 but im afraid that the Think Vantage may not work after the installing of new Xp.
Can you make me clear weather it removes or not. If it removes then is it possible to reinstall the Ventage setup downloading from net..???

    please help...
