I'm getting a X41 in good condition. It comes with the Intel Wifi card (ugh!)
I would like to switch it to the ThinkPad WiFi (Atheros). I believe the part number is 93P4262. Does anyone know if this card will work in the X41? Does it need to be soldered, or do the antenna wires just clip on.

    Thanks in advance.

How about staying with the Intel card for a while to see if you actually need to switch. While there are issues with them, many of them work perfectly fine.
