    ThinkPad X220 Display issue

    Hello all. I have had a Lenovo ThikPad X220 with i7 processor. Recently, it's developed a bizarre display problem. If it goes into screen saver mode (that is the screen goes black after 20 minutes or whatever) it will sometimes get totally washed out. It's not a brightness issue--adjusting the brightness does nothing to it. To fix it, I have to restart. Any ideas about what that is?

    That's interesting...have you tried un/re-installing the video drivers?
