This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     ThinkPad X2x heatsink compatibility?

    I'm considering getting a new heatsink for my X21, as I believe the fan is dying, and therefore, it :eek:verheat:

    So, quick question... I know that the X22-24 use different heatsinks. Do these heatsinks cool better or worse? In other words, does the Tualatin P3-M put out less or more power than the Coppermine P3-LV in this thing? If the newer heatsink works better, I don't see any incompatibilities, so I think I'd get that instead, and get better cooling than even stock.
