ThinkPad Yoga Stylus

I just purchased a new ThinkPad Yoga from Newegg without the Wacom Digitizer. I contacted Lenovo about finding a stylus that is compatible with this computer. They said they do not sell any directly however they mentioned there should be compatible third party stylus pens available. I wanted to reach out to see if anyone had purchased a third party stylus and if you had any recommendations. Links to these items would also be greatly appreciated!

Someone told me that any of the old Lenovo Wacom pens are supposed to work with these new digitizers. My x220t pen "worked" with the Helix I tried, but I remember the pressure sensitivity being off or something, but I could have just been doing it wrong.

I believe that because you don't have the digitizer, only a capacitive stylus should work.

 

If it doesn't come with the digitizer only a capacitive pen will work. Wacom has made some bluetooth pressure sensitive pens for iPads but I am unsure if it has pc drivers

 

It bugs the hell out of me that manufacturers market products with and without digitizers under the same name and that they do so little to call out those devices that are penabled. Besides the Thinkpad Yoga confusion, the recently released Acer Aspire R7 has a digitizer but the earlier model released under that name doesn't

@Ed, any capacitive stylus designed for the iPad should work on your touch screen. I like this relatively inexpensive Wacom Bamboo Stylus

 

Only specific Wacom pens will work with the ThinkPad Yoga. Any of the Bamboo Stylus Feel will work. Note, none of them have erasers. If you want a Wacom pen with an eraser (that works) this is the only one that will work https://store.wacom.com/us/en/product/UP710E/

I can personally verify that the Intuos pens do not work (and Wacom tech support verified that) and that the UP710E does work in any application that supports the eraser (Photoshop, OneNote, etc.).

 

That's the ONLY stylus (wacom and other 3rd party) with an eraser that will work with the Thinkpad Yoga w/ digitizer? How does it feel in the hand to hold? My wife doesn't use her Surface Pro 2 pen, so I use it with my TPY. I would like something more substantive.
