    HD : 120 GB -

    Gigabit Ethernet - WLAN : 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 EDR -
    TPM - fingerprint -
    Win XP Pro -
    15.4" Widescreen TFT 1680 x 1050 ( WSXGA+ )


    I'm interested in buying one of Z61m and in laptop specification says that it's supports only 3-3.5GB of ram memory.
    I want to ask ThinkPad Z61m owners:
    Did you tried to install 4gb of ram?
    Is it be possible to install 4gb of ram with OS Vista 64bit on this laptop?

    I believe that 3-3.5GB ram is because of the 32-bit OS. If you install 64-bit OS you'll be able to see 4GB ram...I might be wrong...it is Sunday morning. Hehehe.

    Not to mention that 4 GB of RAM will run you up the...well you know in price. I don't think you'll be able to install Windows Vista 64-bit because the processor does not support it. A Core Duo T2500 is a 32-bit processor.

    The Core 2 Duo is a 64 bit CPU, but for most people 4GB of memory is overkill unless you have a specific need.
